The Pleasant Ridge Community Council's Library Fund Committee is collaborating with the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County on a $1.2 million renovation of this community treasure.
The Pleasant Ridge Library also serves Kennedy Heights, Silverton, Ridgewood and Amberley Village, plus more than 3,500 students at schools located within 2.3 miles. Built in 1929, the Pleasant Ridge Library is not ADA-compliant and that makes it inaccessible to many citizens including the elderly, those with physical limitations and those pushing strollers.
The PRCC Library Fund is well on its way to raising $400,000 to fund an accessible entrance, elevator and more patron amentites.
